Ardaita AVET College is one of the five colleges administered under the Ministry of Labor and Skills.In 1994 E.C, the college was reorganized and renamed to “Ardaita ATVET College” and was established in March 1976 E.C under the name “Yekatit 25 Cooperative Institute”.

Preparetion for Biogass : is a versatile fuel that can be used to generate electricity, heat homes and businesses,and power vehicles. It is also a clean-burning fuel that produces fewer emissions than traditional fossil fuels.
Study About A tractor: is a powerful vehicle designed for pulling heavy loads or equipment. It’s most commonly used in agriculture (farming) to plow fields, plant seeds, and harvest crops.

Farm equipment,are machines specifically designed to perform tasks related to farming, from land preparation and planting to harvesting and transporting crops and livestock.
Teff is mainly grown in Ethiopia,where it’s a staple food. Teff cultivation involves planting tiny seeds by hand during the rainy season. It’s labor-intensive, but teff is a resilient crop that can grow in various conditions.
Mentorship bridges the gap between experience and fresh perspectives in agriculture. It’s a powerful tool for both seasoned farmers and those new to the field

Our Trending Departments

1976 E.C

Establishment

Was Established in March 1976 E.C under the name “Yekatit 25 Cooperative Institute”. The institute was the only cooperative institution in the country that aimed to provide short- and medium-term training to the skilled workforce from 3 months to 9 months to facilitate cooperative activities in the country.

Reorganized

In 1994 E.C, the college was reorganized and renamed to “Ardaita ATVET College” and was established in March 1976 E.C under the name “Yekatit 25 Cooperative Institute”.

In addition, the institute has been training at the certification level in general agriculture and animal health, and until 1993 E.C, it has trained 4,146 trainees at the short and medium level, an institution that has made an irreplaceable contribution to the development of the country’s agricultural development.

Radical Change

Since 2002 E.C, there has been a radical change in the outcome-based training delivery system, and new professional standards have been adopted in the country based on the needs of the country’s labor market.

Based on the needs of the country’s labor market, the College has formulated a new curriculum in the field of cooperative organization and business management, and cooperative accounting and auditing professions and implemented a results-oriented technical and vocational education and training system.

Opened a new Department

Since 2012 E.C by conducting market survey the College opened a new department in cooperative marketing and has been providing training in cooperative marketing as a third department. In total, the college has trained and graduated a total of 9,965 trainees in formal and 405 continuing education since 2012 E.C.

Opened a new Department

Beside this the college is producing and selling various crops and oilseeds (wheat, barley, cabbage seeds) and also carrying out livestock breeding in order to support the college with internal revenue. Furthermore, the college opened a new department on “Agricultural Mechanization” by conducting market survey since 2015 E.C.

On going

Currently the College is providing short and long term training in four departments: Cooperative Accounting and Auditing, Cooperative Business Management, Cooperative Marketing and Agricultural Mechanization.
